  • Principal geologist Allen J. Maynard graduated from the Western Australian Institute of Technology (WAIT) in 1978 with a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Geology.
He has continuously been engaged as a geologist in the mineral exploration and evaluation industry since 1978 working on gold, diamonds and other precious stones, base metal and platinum group minerals, coal, mineral sands and industrial minerals projects.

 

Al Maynard on site Corporate Member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (MAusIMM), Member of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists (MAIG) and satisfies Australian Stock Exchange Limited (ASX) and Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) regulations and requirements to provide independent expert reports for listed and unlisted public companies.

Areas of major consulting works within Australia include the Ashburton, Eastern Goldfields, Gascoyne, East & West Kimberley, Murchison, Pilbara, Southwest and Yilgarn regions of Western Australia; Pine Creek, Tennant Creek and Alice Springs regions - Northern Territory; Ballarat area - Victoria; eastern parts of southern and northern Queensland; western Tasmania; central and south eastern New South Wales and southern and central eastern South Australia.
International consulting work has also been carried out in China (Sechuan Province), Chile, Ecuador, Peru & South Africa, southwest Greenland, Indonesia (Java & Sumatra), Peninsular Malaysia, Philippines (Cebu, Luzon, Mindanao), northern Portugal, Africa (Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Mauritania, Egypt) and mid-west USA (Wyoming) for exploration of alluvial and primary gold, base-metals and precious stones occurrences.

Al Maynard & Associates have worked as independent consulting geologists since 1980 and have contracted and consulted to listed Public Companies, unlisted Public Companies, Private Companies, Prospecting Syndicates, Individuals and Partnerships. We have also successfully prospected for gold, privately, in the Eastern Goldfields of WA, which culminated in a public company mining that ground.

Ian(Hoppy) Anderson Consultant Geologist

Has completed over 45 years of continuous participation in the mining industry with nickel, base metals, PGMs and Gold. His technical expertise is in open cut and underground mining geology, mineral resource- ore reserve estimation, project evaluation and development that encompass pre-feasibility and subsequent feasibility studies and bringing projects to successful production. Experience gained in the management and successful outcomes in regional and near mine exploration. Attained various management positions also a Director for Rewah Gold Mining Limited and Global Resource Ventures Limited.

Brian Varndell Executive Geologist

Has over 35 years of experience in managerial roles and Consulting in the capacity of Acting or Chief Geologist, overseeing mining operations, both open-pit and underground and also supervising exploration (essentially from grass roots through to drilling operations, programme planning and feasibility studies).

Kelly Kilheeney Exploration Geologist

Responsible for development of exploration targets from grassroots to drilling at prefeasibility level. She has spent a significant amount of time in the management of a number of resource and exploration drilling programs including project database development and validation. She has undertaken widespread travel throughout remote Ireland, Scotland, Western and South Australia incorporating site organization and logistical supervision.
